Of all the luxury watch brands Bulgari is the one who's sophisticated style and unique class never fails to impress me. Their designs are simple, elegant, and precisely executed best of with only the best of materials. After all the over the top creations I've seen lately it was refreshing to say the least to come across the latest addition to Bulgari's Assioma watch collection, the Reserve de Marche, a watch that indeed has the distinctive Assioma style.

While the Reserve de Marche's design is simple at first glance, on a closer inspection of the watch you see the time spent on the smallest detail. The 18 carat gold case is adorned with a beautiful hobnail pattern on both sides of the case and the black dial has a sunburst guilloche pattern. The case shape is the brands Assioma style, a signature of the house of Bulgari. The strap is in alligator leather and has an 18 carat gold buckle. Beauty as they say is not only "skin deep" for the Reserve de Marche, it is equipped with a sophisticated ultra-thin manual winding movement that is only 2.8mm in height. The manually wound movement features a power reserve complication which indicates the state of mainspring tension.

At this years Baselworld, Bulgari is set to introduce several new timepieces into its exquisite collection. My favorite of these timepieces is the new Sotirio Bulgari 125th anniversary edition. Created to mark the brand's anniversary as well as to commemorate the name of the brand's founder, this remarkable watch is a unusual release for the brand in that it does not have the brand standard BVLGARI logo on its bezel. The Sotirio is named after the company's founding father, Sotirio Bulgari, who is also known as Sotirios Voulgaris.

Available in 18 carat yellow, pink or white gold one of my favorite features of Sotirio is the flip-over case-back which provides extra protection to the sapphire crystal. The crown of the watch has a personalized Sotirio Bulgari historical hallmark. The silvered dial has some beautiful decoration with a vertical Cotes de Geneve pattern with Roman numerals and hand-applied faceted indexes. The dial is protected by curved sapphire crystal provided with antireflective treatment. The watch is powered by the Caliber BVL 250 automatic movement, which is composed of 250 parts and has a power reserve of 55 hours. The case is set on a black alligator leather strap fitted with an 18 carat Bulgari ardillon buckle. The watch is expected to retail for approximately $25,000 USD.

As usual, in this year Bvlgari presented many great novelties. Here are some of them.

Diagono X-Pro
The greatest thing about this new sport model is its case. The case measures 45 mm in diameter, it is made of stainless steel, titanium and rubber. The watch consists of 104 parts. The dial of the watch is protected with sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, the case back is made of the same material. The watch is equipped with the automatic Bvlgari BVL312 movement based on the ETA Valjoux movement. The movement has 27 jewels, frequency of 28, 800 vph, power reserve – 48 hours. The watch has the GMT function due to which it displays time in 3 time zones simultaneously.

Bvlgari Serpenti
The Serpenti is a great women’s watch that is made of 18K pink gold with bezel that is surrounded with 38 diamonds. The crown is decorated with a very beautiful tourmaline. The watch has the Tubogas bracelet developed by Bvlgari in the middle of the 20th century. The timepiece is equipped with quartz in-house Bulgari B033 movement.

Octo Bi-Retro Steel Ceramic
This nice men’s watch has an octal case that measures 43 mm in diameter. The case is made of stainless steel while the bezel is made of black ceramic. The crown is adorned with onyx. The case houses the automatic in-house GG7722 caliber with power reserve of 45 hours.

There is jumping hour, retrograde minute hand and retrograde date at 6 o’clock. Arch indicators look very elegant. The case back of the watch is made of sapphire crystal with 8 screws. The watch is waterproof to 100 m. There is a rubber bracelet with stainless steel buckle.

As you see, Bvlgari offers various watch models – both for those who prefer sport style and those who love very luxurious jewelry watches. The brand offers a fantastic range of collections. One of the greatest Bvlgari models is definitely the fine and distinctive Ergon collection that is engineered for physical comfort and that looks really great. Watches from the Ergon collection have a curved case with tonneau shape due to which the model comfortably follows the contour of the wrist. Ergon watches are available in stainless steel or white gold, there are models with bracelet and there are Ergon watches with alligator strap. The watches are available in a variety of sizes and complications: apart from simple Ergon watches there are timepieces with a chronograph complication.
